@maame85 Wth are you talking about, i have and nowhere in my comment did i even highlight hairstyles in the 1st place. My ancestry is from that region of Africa and while obviously there’s lots of things in Rasta culture that comes from Africa, my point is DEIFICATION of Haile Selassie was NOT a native belief. Of the Christians, most practice Orthodox Xianity, which never saw Haile Selassie as some prophet. So i’d advise u to do some research as well instead of coming w/ hairstyle “rebuttals”.

    Any so called …
Any so called blacks watching this attention: YOU ARE NOT AFRICAN. If you ‘come’ from amerikkka, are so called west indian and so called haitians- You are HEBREW ISRAELITES. Who in the time of Romans persecution of the jews in ancient times, fled to Africa to elude your captors. You LIVED there but were not AFRICAN. In fact, AFRICANS SOLD YOU OUT by your identifying garments, beards (for the men) and your eating practices. YOU ARE NOT BLOOD EATING ANIMAL SACRIFICING AFRICANS. Learn who you are.

She seems sweet and i’m glad for her success, but she’s wrong about the Rastafarian belief coming from Africa. Very off with that. No one deified Haile Selassie in Ethiopia or elsewhere in Africa; it was the Jamaicans who were the first to deify him and interpret him as a prophet. When he made room for Rastafarians and other Jamaicans to live in Ethiopia (shoving aside native people), THEN it started having African (Ethiopian) followers due to the influence.
